Think you meant Paddy vs Steve! I feel I need to apologise to all my opponents though - getting Seven and B’Elanna from the Voyager starter and 2 Cytherians was exceptionally lucky for a sealed event!

Good fun though! See you all in the morning!

Yes, that's right, three True Ties in round 1. Are we rusty, or is interaction/heavy dilemma the strategy of the day?

Congratulations to our new European Champions and first-time Kaiserfest winner, Steve Slaby!

Steve was playing Distant Control Romulans, with Paddy Tye (OS Organian Treaty) in 2nd and Florian (also Distant Control Rommies) in third; Niall and Andreas both had Cardies and came in 4th/5th respectively.

We had 2 new players playing their first constructed event after their Dark Ages, and both scored at least one Full Win. Congrats!

There's a lot more to tell, but that'll have to wait until later.

/edit: Links to footage
Round 1: [22] [Kli] Klingons vs [1E-Rom] ambushing Romulans
Round 2: [1E-Rom] Romulan Distant Control mirror matchup (with mini interview with the players after the game)
Round 3: [TE] Terran Empire vs. [1E-Rom] DC Romulans
Round 4: [1E-Rom] DC Romulans vs. [Car] Dissidents

Thanks everybody for coming and making this the biggest Trek event of the year (so far).

Despite some terrible in game decisions i had a wonderful day, meeting familiar faces, some new faces and also the guys from UK and Sweden. It was a pleasure meeting you all and i hope to do so again in future tournaments. Hope you all got home safely.

And a massive "Thank you!" to Kaiser for hosting this tournament and making this such a great event. I will definitely be back again.

Fantastic job hosting @Kaiser . I would expect nothing else and hope I can make it over there for one of these soon. :cross:

As an interesting side note, I was looking to play Distant Control Romulans myself at Continentals this year (Seattle version) had real life issues not gone sideways. I will have to look at @Winner of Borg 's deck to see how much better he made it than I did!

Johannes is awesome!

His love for the event, the details, the efforts, the coolness level of prices, all the fancy things ...
It is just G R E A T.

I just learned that after five attendences, one gets the Kaiserfest Five Beer Promo!
So still three to go xD.

This was my second Kaiserfest and I think: This is not just a tournament.
It is an occasion. To meet old and new faces, to hang out and have fun.

Not to forget the lovely Weißwurstfrühstück (= Weißwurst breakfast) to start the day!

Fun little story ...
I finally saw Niall again after a decade ... but this time, we did not face each other in battle! Hopefully next time!
I want to get my sexecution revenge :D :borg: :cheersL: .

I really had a great time. I didn't even plan to play at first, haven't played in nearly 20 years and only found out about the event two days before. As I live in Munich I just thought I might just come there, watch and have some fun. But everyone was really supportive and encouraged me to play, it was really cool!

And of course special thanks to Johannes for hosting!
