Is just gone 8:30am on Saturday. Yesterday's biermeister went on a looooong time. The final confrontation only began at 1:10am.

Will "I can drink anyone under the table" Hoskin was playing Johannes "I like to drop my cards on the floor" Klarhauser in the final. I had already beaten them both in previous rounds, but had dropped to avoid a bye was disqualified for not drinking.

In what seemed like a long and tedious game (to everyone but the competitors), Will emerged victorious. The myth is true. He does play better when drunk.

Day One of the 2E Continentals is due to begin in around 90 minutes. Subject to the Internet connection working, I'll try to keep this post updated with news throughout the day.

Day 1 has started!
Currently 14 people are playing round one while 9 more are enjoying their Earned Byes. Some of them are using the spare time to prepare themselves for the most important event of the weekend, the Tribbles Championship tomorrow evening! That is real dedication.

Friday already has seen the First Edition European Championship. After four rounds and a Final Confrontation Sebastian Kirstein was victorious and is now the European 1E Champion 2011! Congratulations!

The spontaneous Tribbles training session has turned into a real tournament that was won by Johannes Klarhauser with 343,643 Tribbles. Congratulations!

During round two, two Czechs arrived, so we are now 25 players.

In the featured round 2 game, Johannes beat Tobias 100-60.

This was a matchup they had tested, as a part of the Manhatten Project. They expected a close game. For a long time, Tobias was in the lead, but Johannes went on a killing spree and killed 8 personnel over two turns to take the advantage. He won shortly after.

How is Android Will going?

Will isn't playing Androids. I can reveal that he had a lean 45 card deck, and then he added about 15 cards this morning. Probably not his best move. He lost his first game to Thomas, and is now losing to Jirka.
