We are trying to come up with prize support for this years Continentals and GenCon Events! But we want your feedback! What type of prize support do you look forward to the most?

Traditionally we have sealed product, foils, and buttons available. And we will of course have foils and buttons. We are looking at where to spend our funds for the rest of the prize support! There have been many masters and national events run with a wide range of prize support. From Star Trek books, to posters, memorabilia, T-Shirts, Trophies, Ribbons, and more. So what do people want to see for this years events? Let us know!

For a big event like Continentals, gotta have the bling/hardware. Going to Maryland Masters and earning a trophy and having pictures of the 'Podium finish' (even though I was on the lowest step of the podium, I was still there!) reminded me of some of the classic big events from the Decipher heyday. If there's an affordable way for the top finishers to get some glass, that would definitely add to the prestige of the event in my book.

Note: I probably will not be in attendance at GenCon this year (through no fault of the CC's, just life) so take my opinion for what it's worth.

What about SPECIAL foils for the winners with place ranking on them (Top 2)? Talk about a collectable that is unique and won't break the bank.

I really liked the semifinalist trophy/plaque I got at NACC last year. After the tournament, I met up with the friend who first got me into STCCG almost 20 years ago. He thought it was a little funny that I spent the day playing a dead card game (NA Championship with 15 people), but when I showed him the trophy he said, "Not gonna lie, I'm kind of jealous."

IMHO prizes don't have to be huge, just classy and commemorative.

(Though of course I won't be at NACC this year either. :P)

I would LOVE sleeves too. Big problems I see with them are:

1. Legion sleeves are pretty bleh unless you get double matte ($$$$)
2. Sleeves come in packs of 50. (This kind of makes sleeving decks for any of the games hard unless you have three packs.*)

*Yes, you can use less, but with wear and tear as a factor, you don't want to be left with a sleeve that split.

Two years ago at GenCon I remember that UltraPro gifted us a few packs of sleeves as prize support, which I thought was pretty cool of them.
