There is a 2E side event for the non-qualifiers. Orlando is not a 1E town so it's tough to get 1E events going there at all. But if the demand is there, I'll add it.

Hi folks,

If you're considering attending Continentals this year and playing in 1E and/or Tribbles events, what kinds of items would you like to see as prize support?

(I'm going shopping next week!)

One of those old people scooters would be sweet. It's Florida, I'm sure you can find a deal on a used one.

OK crew, is there any demand for a 1E side event on Thursday or Sunday, or will you be primarily playing 2E?

I just ordered some Reflections. I'm considering a sealed event with Reflections added, but if the interest isn't there I won't add the event.

You should be directing this to The Authority (shhh, that's me)...

A) How the hell should I know?

B) You are required to bring the belt to all tournaments. Not only that, you would be defending it. You don't want to be non-fighting champion. I think the three-way tie for 1st at #ATLMasters has created a slew of American #1 contenders to your title.

C) The Corbett Family probably can't make the event, but I'll be there....

It's Continentals, so wouldn't the winner get some sort of Worlds Bye? It's been awhile since I've been in a position to care about this (2008 was the last year I played in Continentals and Worlds in the same year), but IIRC, the Continentals winner gets a double bye into Day 1 of Worlds and the runner up gets a single bye into Day 1 of Worlds.

Probably gonna need a confirmation/refutation from our esteemed Director of Organized Play though.

Paging Ken...

A) You do not get a bye. Continental byes are given for Nationals winners/runner-up from the following year, people who earned enough Masters/Nationals points and the Worlds winner/runner-up. The bye list is here -

https://www.trekcc.org/tournament/index ... e=listbyes

B) Yes, you have to bring the belt and to smite your enemies while hearing the lamentation of their women.

C) I won't be able to go otherwise I'd offer.

Michael,
who hopes to get a chance at the belt in London but is questionably esteemed :)
