Question: If you played treachery at earth or DS9 and got Cal Hudson in the game to give them , then they were killed, would they still maintain the icon after death so they could be placed on defiant reprisal !? They have to be present with Cal Hudson to get the when they die does that go away because they are no longer present with Cal ?

Should be fine. They have the maquis icon at the time that everything is being checked.
