. Cardissidents feels more intuitive to derive, but cardassidents feels like it has more flavour.

I voted Cardissidents. Saying each out loud I found myself pronouncing it "CARDissidents" as opposed to "CARdassidents," and it's a CARD game.

Also, I feel the need to be able to distinguish between what we'd actually mean, and Car Dissidents (which is too easy to see in that). Car Dissidents are another story entirely.
