After attempting a planet mission all personnel at that mission are stopped. the only ship at that location is empty.

Can equipment on the planet be beamed back to the ship?
In general, does equipment need a personnel active to be beamed?

Thanks

To the Rulebook, Robin!
Rulebook, Beaming Personnel wrote:This order allows you to move around your personnel and equipment
at a mission. To execute this order, you must command a ship at that same
mission. Choose any number of your unstopped personnel and equipment
at that mission and move them in one of the following three ways.
• From a planet or headquarters mission up to one of your
unstopped ships. Take the cards from their stack on top of the
mission and place them “aboard” the ship, directly beneath the
ship card (in any order).
• From yourunstoppedshipdowntoaplanetorheadquarters
mission. Take the cards from their stack beneath your ship and
place them crosswise on top of the mission (as though you had
played them there).
• Between two of your unstopped ships. Take the cards from
their stack beneath one of your ships, and place them beneath
one of your other ships at the same mission.
You cannot beam aboard an opponent’s ship, but you may beam down
to any planet or headquarters mission, regardless of who played the mission.
Beaming cannot be used to move from one mission to another mission.
Despite the headline, I think the answer is yes. You can clearly beam a group of X unstopped personnel and no equipment, so logically it should follow that you can beam a group of X equipment and no unstopped personnel.

mmm fine, was hoping to see a way to have equipment to be stranded on a planet to make use of Rasmussen. But it seems he's hard to use as equipment is mostly safe...

In my experience, Rasmussen works best in combination with Self-Sealing Stem Bolts.
