It's Wednesday! We're more than halfway through the week. Since we are over the hump, let's look at a question!

With the new set being legal, there are a lot of deck possibilities out there. I am looking forward to seeing what lands on the literal table. An online event has begun and in person events are planned for this upcoming weekend. You're probably not going to put more than three of these in a deck (though I am more than happy to be proven wrong!) so let's do a draft!

All you need to do is pick a pair of new missions. New means they made their debut in Continuing Mission, so nothing that was in Timeless. Mission means, well, not a personnel. NOTE: For purposes of this draft, we'll call Varria III, Locate Missing Crewman and Varria Corona, Defeat Rogue Borg Vessel one card. Just put Varria on your 'ballot' and we're good.

Your entry will have to be in before the next tournament starts. Also, this being a draft, once a combination is picked, it is off the board!

You get a point each time either of your picks is played at an event and posted publicly. I'll be using the card list pages to make the determination. You can get two points if both cards are played in the same event, even in the same deck.

First to ten points wins. Should there be a tie, the first person to post will win!

You get to pick something else. These count as a single mission for the purpose of the draft, if I understand the rules correctly.

Maggie's understanding is correct. The Varria missions are one pick so you can have them and another.

For those unaware, from the Tournament Legal thread:

Giving a quick update on this. We are at about the halfway point and with the Online event coming to a close, this might be over by the end of the week.

There are several decks that have been played at one event. Forcas Sector, the Mouth of the Wormhole and the other three R’s, Rakhari Approach, Remmler Array and Romulus Orbit are all on the board along with Vanden Prime.

There are three in the terrible twos consisting of Argratha, Nimbus III and the Wadi Homeworld. When you look at the decks, you will notice that Michael Van Breeman played with three of the missions along with a solo HQ. There are a lot of tricks to get personnel into play, not including Nimbus III.

It is looking more and more as if the winner will have chosen the Varria missions which have been played in five publicly posted decks as of this writing. The breakdown, which includes a sealed deck, is two TNG, two Terok Nor and a TOS. Trialus is right behind with four, breaking down into the same TNG decks, a Deep Space Nine version and a Bajor/Deep Space Nine combo.

We’ll see what the week brings, but Armus has the lead as of this moment.
