It's Wednesday! We're more than halfway through the week. Since we are over the hump, let's look at a question!

We're still basking in the glory of the latest set, Continuing Missions. They are bursting onto the tournament scene but today we're going to talk about cards that are a little less successful.

Which mission just kind of hangs around? You stock it in your deck but never really attempt it or use the gametext. You can solve it but just never get around to it. You have never removed it from your deck but keep it around.

There's no such thing as a mission you don't use in the modern game. Too many missions come with whistles and bells that there's almost no reason to run a deadhead mission. Only use case I can think of is Vintner/Tain/Kmtar/etc. Where you have to use a 4th X mission where X is what lets you do *the thing* with those guys, but these days there seems to be a lot of utility missions that also let you do *the thing*

As far as missions that I often include but rarely attempt, there's one that stands out:

TCS.

Aka Alpha 5 Approach

Too many ways to solve too many missions with 4-5 people.

Agree with Armus.

A5A is the worst offender. Generally I dislike Referee missions but this is sometimes necessary. Never attempt it, looks ugly, doesn't fit thematically into any of my decks (except TOS because of the image) and therefore ruins mission choices and aesthetics of my spaceline.

Just make it a rule.. need 6 personnel to attempt a mission. :?
