Let's do a thought experiment. We're going to go through all of the Tribbles expansions and we're going to cut half of the powers. In this experiment, these powers are going to be removed from the game moving forward, and we'll keep what is left. In reality, this is just data and there are no plans to do anything this drastic.

But, if you could only keep half of the powers from the original The Trouble With Tribbles base set, which ones would you keep, and why?

In this poll, you get four (4) votes - vote for the powers you want to REMOVE from Tribbles. The four (4) "winners" will be removed, and the rest will be kept. Then, we'll move onto the virtual sets and run through them in order until we're left with half the powers in the game.

I'm hopeful this exercise will lead to some interesting discussions, so vote and share your thoughts.

Well, I'm limited to ten options per poll. Otherwise I'd probably take the sum of all powers. But this is really just a thought experiment designed to generate discussion.

YMMV.

Besides, I wouldn't be sad if Poison weren't around anymore.

I would get rid of replay, rescue, and go then retool them into similar powers.

Go is as pfti says, just a lazy way to get into other powers and it is a huge part of the screw 10 problem.

Rescue creates rediculous long chains and consumes an inordinate amount of time for a single player and ends up being functional famine as it often sends the chain back down. Would like to see this bc more random.

Replay feeds into the screw 10 problem and also is just another push to into other powers like go does. If brought back should also be more random.

I'd only cut two from the Base Set.

Bonus should be cut because…
Alt Victory Conditions are poorly disguised Designer Vanity Projects.

Rescue should be cut because…
Rescue chains are torture to sit through.

So, based on the voting here, Rescue and Poison are out. We'd need to do a runoff between Discard, Go, Reverse, and Skip, but let's just give them all amnesty for now. That means we've dropped Rescue and Poison from the game.
