Good morning, 'trek fans! After discussions at this month's local gig, we have decided to run the upcoming 16th annual charity event as an OTSD Plus. This new / returning player friendly tournament will see participants open their own OTSD equivalent (4 packs of Premiere and 2 of AU) before drafting another set of packs to flesh out their sealed deck designs.

As always, the entrance fee is just a recommended donation (even if you cannot afford it, please come out to play!) We will once again feature "pick your poison" pairings, bounties on both current T2E Superstars and returning Legends, and I will be auctioning off a few hard-to-find Organized Play goodies at the conclusion of play. So, what are you waiting for? Get in here! :cheersL:

Hello to all the Frozen Chosen in the great white north and to all those who are not cool enough to be called that!

I did an inventory count last night and discovered I have 6 WB starter decks (where did these come from?), 60-ish packs of WB, and 28-ish packs of AU. Since those starter decks are basically 4 packs themselves absent a couple rares, I am going to blow them out as well and just have folks take 2 extra WB rares at random from a stack I will put together. I also have a lot more OTSD cards than I initially thought, so if you cannot find your own do not be troubled - we will have plenty on hand. I hope to see you there! :cheersL:

Important programming note - Phil & Deb, the couple who run In the Spirit Prison Ministries, have discontinued their work in the Philippines in order to focus on church building in northwestern Wisconsin. As such, this year's charity will instead be Make-A-Wish Minnesota, the organization that Lillian works for. I highly doubt this will impact the charitable giving any of us plan to participate in, but just wanted to let folks who may be writing checks know.

See you there! :cheersL:

I think mid-afternoon would be safe bet. Should wrap by 3 p.m. I would think.

Wow, 9 pre-registered so far! It should be a great morning playing open format sealed again. Here is hoping we can get a few more to join us and take over Dreamer's Vault with some hot PAQ era sealed action!

As long as I'm setting up the printout, I wanted to check - how do you handle sleeving double-sided cards? Do you just use transparent sleeves, or do you sleeve each side separately, or do you still go opaque and just remove it when you want to flip it over?

I typically print the 2 sides as 2 separate cards and just sleeve the active side (e.g. DS9 or Terok Nor, but not both on the same card. )

Since I am guessing you are talking about Spacedoor, I would just print the open side. When you close it, just flip it over / face down and we will all have enough physical copies of the back side to reference if you need it.

We have 10 pre-reg'd! Wow! Just a couple reminders and updates for you today. First, remember that this year we are playing for Make-A-Wish Minnesota (the non-profit organization Lillian works for) and not ISPM. In talking with Phil and Deb, they felt their work in the Philippines had reached a natural conclusion and they have instead refocused their efforts into church building in northwestern Wisconsin. We wish them well and thank them for all they have done through ISPM in the past!

Second, I discovered a stash of WB rares given to me years ago by Nat and have added two rares at random to each of the six starter decks. Therefore, players who grab one of the starter decks will have roughly the equivalent of four boosters that the rest of us have. I also will pass out a few bonus rares prior to drafting, again, at random.

I do have six sets of physical OTSD cards to loan out to anyone who needs them, or if you have your own and want to bring those (printed or physical copies) that is great too. I believe @flrazor has some extras he may be bringing too (?) Finally, the after-action auction will be a little less than usual but I hope you will be interested in bidding on the Organized Play mats I have set aside, the borderless promo of Regency 1, complete WB 1994 / 1995 sets, etc.

Get ready, the New Year's Charity Draft goes down this weekend! :cheersL:

Aye, that was the one. So I'll just sleeve both separately and swap them out based on active side. I could have SWORN I had my physical one because I remember Spacedooring out the ❖ [1E-Rom] [OS] ship, but who knows where it is now.
