I'll print Lucas's eight beginner starters. (I'm not sure how many players I'll have in total, but it's looking like somewhere between 5 and 8.) I'll diplomatically hand them out (less experienced players get first choice). On top of that, I'll throw in a few physical boosters for each player. I have to check what I have available - probably something like "pack of Premiere, pack Strange New Worlds, pack of To Boldly Go."

Still a bit subject to change but that's the current framework.
Perhaps make up a few of your own boosters. Print some solid cards for the factions in the decks, some cool dilemmas, shuffle them up, pop them in Ultra pro team bags, call them boosters and give them out.

Adds some flavour, variety and fun, and you can save your uncracked stock for prizes.

Hope this helps!

I've considered something like this, and I may do it, but under the circumstances I'm not sure I'll have that much preparation time.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm not sure how fast mail is running these days, and I'm not sure it would make it here in time.

Looking like six players will be the total, to the best of my knowledge.

I'll be bringing eight decks just in case. Should have them sleeved up by tomorrow.

Boosters will be virtual if I can find a way to do it fairly and still have enough time; otherwise, they'll be physical.

The two unregistered players are: Zachary Riffle, who has zero 2E experience (but has played 1E and Tribbles once each); and my son Ian Coleman, playing in his first 2E event in five years.

OK. For each deck, I've generated 27 mostly-random cards to serve as "virtual boosters" for the deck. All of the cards you'll get are at least playable - if not necessarily useful - with the chosen affiliation.

Do we need to bring backing cards or just sleeves?

I already had all the decks sleeved (for new player demos) so none of the above is necessary.

That said, all the sleeves are black, so if you want to resleeve to avoid confusion, you may.

Also, we may squeeze in some Tribbles early (late afternoon/early evening), as there's at least one person that wants to participate but is already pledged to the bachelorette party, and I thought it might be a good compromise.

I'll bring some of the Tribbles decks I have, but I haven't built anything since the new set released, and I'm sure I won't have time to, so if you're able to bring any extra decks, it'd be helpful. (No Troubles.)

Congrats to Michael Van Breemen on his 2E win and Tammy Vititoe on her Tribbles win!

Results are going up shortly. Sorry for the delay. We just got home an hour ago.
