I dont get the point here. Janeway is as much worth of having the
-icon as van Orton or Mr. Bojangles is. She has never been in any way affiliated with the Enterprise as a ship. And the icon was introduced to
a) being an incentive to match ship and main crew
b) make different and not better versions of the main crew
Mark the words: MAIN crew. There were a lot of personnel working on the 1701-E that dont have the icon. Most of them.
The ONLY crew members given the icon were the iconic bridge crew members.
The Continuing Commitee later decided that it would be fun (and it was to me!) to change the meaning of the icon to additionally include "plays for free once each turn".
Also they broadened up the spectrum by
a) giving the icon to crew members NOT being the main cast
b) allowing FC-icon-personnel reporting for free too.
Unless the now designers of the game clearly state
Hear hear! The Enterprise-E icon is no longer the Enterprise-E-icon. It shall henceforth be known as the "newer movie icon"
the EE-icon remains what it is: a staffing icon for the Enterprise-E.
What COULD be changed is the Federation-Flagship-renewed card by allowing to include personnel from the other movies.
But that has nothing to do with Janeway.
SO LEAVE JANEWAY ALONE!!!
