After the initial confusion on the abbreviation on General Quarters I think a better version would be to us GenQ instead as to GQ as that was originally used for Gamma Quadrant (and still is). And some have even used GQ to abbreviate Guest Quarters, something that should be shortened with GuQu instead I guess so there is now way of missinterpret the three different cards in any form or way.

so, in short is what I suggest:
GQ = Gamma Quadrant
GenQ = General Quarters
GuQu = Guest Quarters
