Not to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, but I'd love to see a sticky thread (or website page) with all the fan provided resources, like BCS' rule book, jrch's lists, and a certain spreadsheet.

First off, when the new website comes, there is going to be a page very much like this one right there on the website. I expect somebody will at some point want to consult with jrch5618 to make sure it's done right, actually.

That said, I think there's some sense to this. I've been trying to prune the stickies in the 1E forum -- there's SO MANY OF THEM compared to most other forums -- but every time I kill one, two more rise in its place (hail hydra), so some sort of consolidation of resource threads may be just what the doctor ordered.

It could be:

Designer Q&A
Monthly Project Update
Resource Thread (linking to the Rules Question thread, the Broken Links thread, the Abbreviations thread, this Errata thread, your Spreadsheet thread, and ANYTHING ELSE we decide is useful)

That'd tide us over nicely until the new website is launched, at least.

Yes, but what I'm suggesting is have complete old and new entries back to back, with the changes struck out in the old and bolded in the new I think it'll be easier to read, especially with cards that are almost completely rewritten.

I do agree fully with you (maybe not all too surprisingly), also in context of the website as a whole. Should probably be named a bit more generic though ("Play online" or similar) for being a bit more "future-proof"; to keep it open if there's an alternative to Lackey popping up in the future. Same goes if a specific sub-forum(s) is created for this.

EDIT: Realized after writing that this discussion might not be best done in this specific thread though; better location would probably be "new website" topic or similar...

*Okay, that's when the corrected Mission II's were released, but the originals weren't officially corrected at the time. So really these cards didn't technically get errata until 2008, when Seth Claybrook slipped them into the original virtual errata file unannounced... but really 2000-11-01 is the date Decipher admitted it messed up.

**These errata were CC-era errata, but it's not clear exactly when they happened: errata were released in the Current Rulings, and we only have fragmentary records of old CR documents. And this was back when the Current Rulings were rarely if ever integrated into the Glossary. This batch was definitely in November 2010 or earlier, but more than that is hard to prove. We know there was a 9-card errata on 7 July 2010, but it's impossible to say which ones without a day-one copy of the OTF ban list... which we do not have. November 2010 is close enough for most purposes, though.

Yep, the reasoning is easy, but when did it happen? Was it in the CC era, or the Decipher era? If the CC era, why can I find no record of it? It is driving me a little crazy.

I just stumbled on an old post containing dates for tons of the Premiere errata (thanks, karonofborg!), so that will be updating presently.

Update: Ha ha! Found it! Cryosat was a Decipher-era errata first mentioned in Glossary 1.7, in August 2000.

The list now has all Decipher-era errata dates on it. The CC era, by comparison, will be easy, since I remember most of it. (And we kept better records, tbh.)

The one thing that's still getting me: can anyone tell me when we beat down Q with the nerfbat? I know it was CC-era, and it was a major errata, but I can't find any records of it in any documents. Even a rough date would be nice.

Just a tiny thing I noted.... do you think we could return Anakri Spirits to their original form? Their errata is no longer relevant because of the errata to Cyrus Redblock.

That's an interesting idea. It wouldn't be the first time an errata was rescinded, although it is extremely rare.

I suppose, unlike normal errata, there's not really any cost to it, since the gameplay is irrelevant and all you're saying is, "Hey, play the old copies you already had in the binder." Or am I missing something?
