I have a new project - relearning 1E. Give me a hand learning about the different affiliations. It's been 15 years since I played! I figured I might learn a bit by looking at the Top 5 cards from each affiliation and faction. What do you think are the top 5 cards and why?

Full Complement of Shuttles - this made playable again.

Seven of Nine - skill monkey get up get coffee, skill monkey go to job

Nanoprobe Resuscitation - the one thing Voyager has lots of is usable Borg with a blue icon. Process Ore: Mining = free report

Kes - still hard to beat that The Gift download for noping out of a mission attempt

Reunite Legends - to get Starship Enterprise and Admiral Kirk (this is why seed-phase downloads should be something everyone is very paranoid about)

Assign Mission Specialists combined with Nanoprobe, you have access to every Fed and NA MS skill available. There are a LOT of Delta Quadrant missions where you can gain a lot of points this way.

I'd recommend that folks on their lists, not put in cards that more than the can use, or at least don't specifically benefit them. A lot of the cards you guys mentioned, are just great/good staple cards in any DQ deck.

Here's my list for only decks:

1) U.S.S. Voyager: Makes everything go!

2) Full Complement of Shuttles: Definitely helps the Voyager crew stay on parse with multiple play engines per turn

3) Samantha Wildman: Has TWO that are great, one SCIENCE-related equipment and her child Naomi Wildman which boosts all your Voyager crew's first listed skill to double, giving some not only x2, but x4 or x6!!

4) Reginald Barclay (The Borg): all your DQ missions +5 points? yes please!

5) Delta Flyer: Great free report ship to your Voyager to help scout out those pesky space missions without committing your whole crew, as well daisy-chaining crew members across multiple mission spans

I look at the setup cards being most useful and crucial for a quick voyager deck.

3 draws at end of turn and 2 draws at beginning with a person to Nano probe

So you get one free + card play shuttle and crew + nano probe dude

That's 4-5 people a turn - the draws to refill hand and rdy for next turn
