Right after the release of the game my cousin used to play with a romulan and klingon outpost in his federation deck and report non aligned personnel and husnock ships to them and use them to attack and cause chaos and slow me down while his bridge crew went off to solve two or three missions. it was dirty s hell.

Later on this strategy was adapted by myself with the release of the neutral outpost and some of the better non aligned personnel from alternate universe and I took down a few local events. this was a strategy of mine that worked as a possibility until the Borg showed up.

next to my Klingon / rogue Borg mercenaries deck, it was one of my favorites.

what other dirty business were you guys up to back in the day?

This isn't from back in the day (back in the day I played plain old solvers, just like I do now), but the first deck that comes to mind at the phrase "dirty federation" is this one:

Resistance Isnt Futile ver. 3.0 by Chris Deitz

Won a regional and came in second at a Masters event in 2017; used the Enterprise E, the Son'a, and Incoming Message: Attack Authorization to do the dirty.

Ran into one of those way back. They came after my cube. They lost on tactic draw.

Ah, Battlestar Enterprise! I know why it needed to go but I do miss it.

I blew up Mirror Terok Nor once with just Enterprise.

I once tried to cobble together a deck where the idea was to boost the Future Enterprise to levels where it could destroy any opposing ship easily and then use Incoming Message: Attack Authorization to do just that. The plan for the needed Treachery was to download Ensign Davis with Assign Mission Specialists.

But too many moving parts and I'd be able to do the same thing much more efficiently with other affiliations. Plus this was before I started to consider Continuing Mission and Reshape the Quadrant and the advantages they give you to NOT mix properties.
