However, their psych-out factor is wayyyyyyy higher than their actual power level, so they are still well worth using from time to time. :)
I'll agree with that.

As a Tribbles side deck fan, I find the 1 too annoying to use. It's not *that* powerful (in that the opponent can pretty easily play around it), but it just adds a layer of dickery that I don't find fun.

Fortunately, it's not only unnecessary to play a 1 to get the higher tribbles, the deck works better by not having them. And the rest are just little mini-dilemmas and mini-events. It's a fixed Q Flash, IMO - something to trip up speed decks a bit.

Agreed.

Why was Next Emanation errata'd? I feel like I used to know this, but don't remember anymore.

Never seemed worth using to me back in the day.

Emanation in a pre-errata Cyrus Redblock/YGII murder deck was just rude back in the day. It was good for playing around Regenerate/Isomag and making sure all of your murder victims stayed dead.

So with Cyrus errata'ed, it might be worth considering re-errata'ing TNE back to its original form.

I think the point of Next Emanation was to make larger decks more playable (aka more redundancy)? It seems like big decks are winning the big tournaments so I think discouraging streamlined builds isn't the way to go, but I have been out of the game for a while so take this with something of a grain of salt.

Yeah I think it's best we pretend Howard Heirloom Candle never existed.

Two-Dimensional Creatures has always been annoyingly bad to me because I wanted it to be a better empath filter but anyone attempting a space mission without SCIENCE and ENGINEER aboard is probably going to die anyway so it's almost never going to work without excessive setup that it doesn't deserve.

Since Your Galaxy is Impure has been errata'd I am not sure what the most OP card is in my mind. If anything it seems like Handshake is pretty darn good, and I don't know if we need so many good manipulation functions on one card.

TL;DR

Terrible: Two-Dimensional Creatures
OP: Handshake

Honestly just look at q, au, and first set. There is about 50 cards you would always use as cardbacks for virtual cards. Life form scan is not worth a card slot. All the romulan and Klingon first set holograms are trash. Majority of first set dilemmas are horrible. Yeah you are playing God and I'm playing nanties. I think you win already.

What is ams? Unless you are talking about mission specialist. I think the ones I have about 50 of them as cardbacks are one or 2 skills only.

Assign Mission Specialist can only be one skill. Hologram decks are resilient because their crews usually cannot be killed by dilemmas.

Yep, AMS = Assign Mission Specialists.

True, but there's an app for that now. (Actually several.)

P.S. C'mon, guys, I stop using Shades of Gray for a year because everybody in my playgroup knows I'm bringing it to every event and suddenly everyone stops using it? Never underestimate the power of a bunch of 2 Exobiology walls in a medi-drain deck.
