Rules Master longevity

First Edition has had six distinct Rules Masters (and one interim):

[just anyone at Decipher with email access] (aka dAnswerMan) (Nov 1994 - Feb 1996)
Jason Winter (aka dAnswerMan aka Q) (Feb 1996 - Jan 1998)
Kathy McCracken (aka Major Rakal) (Jan 1998 - Jun 1999)
Evan Lorentz (aka Mot the Barber) (Jun 1999 - Aug 2000)
Kathy McCracken again (Aug 2000 - Aug 2001)
[vacant] (2001 - 2008)
Nick Fancher (aka whitestar28) (1 July 2008 to 21 November 2010)
Allen Gould (24 December 2010 to 15 May 2012)
Jordan Leung (aka FrakkinPhoenix) [interim]
Jon Carter (aka pfti) (4 December 2012 - present)

I don't know whether anyone noticed it before, but I only picked up on it today: this makes pfti the longest-serving rules master in 1E history, and by a wide margin. I'd always thought of Kathy McCracken as the "Decipher Era" rules master, but her tenure was actually pretty brief and broken up in the middle.

If Pfti serves as Rules Master for just six more months, he will finally have been in the position even longer than the long [vacancy] during the game's dark age.

Why was I looking this up? Because I stumbled across an old CRD while looking up something else, got curious, found it interesting, and then got too deep to pull out.

Wasn't that right around when OTF was getting set up and was going through growing pains?

I am not sure if this says something good about me, or just that I am used to people not liking me/my decisions?

I'm pretty sure it makes you a concrete symbol of the game's blessed stability in the OTF era.

Jeremy Commandeur was rulesmaster in 2009...I know this for a fact as he recruited me.

Commandeur was director of 1E, and was a very active director, involved in many rulings and staffing decisions. His degree of direct involvement with Rules was much greater than with his successors.

But Nick Fancher (initially under the title "Head Judge") actually chaired the Rules Committee, conducted votes, and issued rulings during that entire period.
