Is there any way to use Tommygun on an opponents ship?

Does this have to do with your Starship Troopers "cool" deck (without spoiling any of it, since people should still play against it and be surpeised!)? :o

I thought you could just use your opponent’s holodeck, no?

There was a discusson about this recently... (1, 2, max. 3 weeks ago?) Does anybody know where? I thought that this was heavily debated, or even debunked, there...?

Wait -- after reading that again -- this question was not properly discussed to finish.

We discussed holo-projectors, mainly.
The latest Glossy wrote:When reporting to a location, ship, or facility
where holograms may exist, holographic
personnel report activated. Otherwise, a
hologram is deactivated when reported, and
may be activated on the same or a
subsequent turn (if aboard a ship or facility
with a Holodeck, or wearing a Mobile
HoloEmitter) by any of your “unstopped”
personnel present (even another active
hologram).
And: "in all other respects, treat holos normally". And not much else.

Would this not imply that your flesh guys can use opposing ship's holodeck to raise the Tommygun...? :shifty:

You can still place a Holodeck Door on a HQ and attack in there. Not very usefull though.

2 parts from the rulebook:
[Holo] cards can only exist on a ship or facility with a holodeck, such as U.S.S. Galaxy. Whenever a [Holo] hologram is not present with a usable holodeck or some other card allowing it to exist (such as Holo-Projectors or Mobile Holo-Emitter), it is immediately deactivated, which is equivalent to being disabled.

A card is usable if you control it.
