Hey all-

I'm thinking about starting up an online Return to Talos IV tournament series next year and I'm trying to figure out if there's enough interest to make it viable.

The poll will run for the next 60 days. If I get sufficient Yes votes I'll run the first event in January or February next year, and probably either monthly or bi-monthly after that.

Also, if you're on the fence and have any suggestions for incentives that would get you on board, please post in-thread or PM me any suggestions.

Thanks for your interest! :cheersL:

(Honestly don't remember.)
Yeah basically.

Though I'm considering running them all as OTF just to see what vintage non-cheese would look like.

OTOH if the people interested are the hard core Open-loving type, then I'll do that.

My primary objective is to get more online events going and it's been awhile since anyone has run one of these.

I always wondered what it would be like to run that event in reverse order instead...

I was a champion of this and Farpoint tournaments over the years, but after the last couple attempts drew 4-5 players each with many games no-showed, I kind of lost interest.

Here's the article from the last time it was run 5 years ago.

Since I'm looking at running RTT4 and it's 2e equivalent, Return to Farpoint, I may end up only running 6 events instead of 12, but each will feature a card pool from a different era of Trek CCG, starting earlier and working our way later.

For simplicity sake, all events will be constructed.

At this point a lot of specifics still need to be worked out, but I wanted to see if the interest was even there before spending a lot of time on it.

Voyager needs to be warp speed. I will run it if need be

I generally won’t have time... but a classic Voyager Warp Speed tournament is tempting me...

If DS9 sealed was an option too, I’d love to play that again!

There will be lots of sealed options at Worlds, Voyager Warp Speed being one of them.

Technical questions:

Is Voyager Warp Speed Constructed a thing? I think every time I've played it it's been in a Sealed deck context. Which were you going for? If Sealed, do we have a Voyager Starter/ Booster generator?

As for a DS9 Sealed, I also enjoy that format, but how does one create a valid DS9 starter and associated DS9 Boosters in a Lackey context? Is there an app for that I don't know about?

I believe it is, but my understanding is that it's hilariously broken.
