The way it's worded, he would NOT get the bonus against anyone who is human.

He basically says "+3 against ~A" where A is Human Species.

Mr. Spock is half human, half Vulcan. "A AND B" since Spock is both A and B, he's A. Since he's A, Green's "~A" bonus does NOT kick in.

It's only logical.

Glossary:
The following terms (even if preceded by "ex-") are considered equivalent to the phrase "romantically involved": "husband", "wife", "mate", "married", "wedded", "imzadi", "bride", "mistress", "widow", "divorced".
Technically I guess "no". But isn't "beloved" literally what "imzadi" means?

What's going on with that? It's feeling pointless to ask anything.
Sorry, I've had a busy week. I'll go back through and add some As :)

jrch5618 wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2020 4:24 am So were Tribbles getting to be so annoying or problematic that you came up with a tribble-exterminator in Trader Worf - or was it just such a cool idea that you just had to go for it? :)
A [Kli] [OS] Worf came up early in discussion for the set. We were trying to determine how we could make him different than the existing [NA] [OS] Worf and one idea that was tossed around was a tribbles connection (since Worf was the one who explained the Klingon fight to exterminate Tribbles).

Tribbles can definitely be annoying to play against, so we viewed this ability as a possible counter. It's not a permanent lockout for a Tribbles player, but can help an opponent of the Tribbles player in a crucial moment. That being said this particular Worf can't be used in Every deck (property logo issues, doesn't report to the [OS] Time Location), so we expect that he'll be more of a meta choice.

We've talked with Rules about this. Beloved should count to make her a Romantic Partner with Khan.

Not necessarily weird TOS stuff, but we did have in the file at one point a dual personnel titled "The Laughing Captains" which was Kirk and Kang when they defeated the Beta XII-A entity.

Additional items that didn't make it
  • A dual personnel "Sarek and Amanda"
  • A 1960s Earth Time Location
  • A [NA] Starship Enterprise
  • [OS] facilities

This is correct, if you're pretending to be human or are half or quarter human you count as human.

I'm pretty sure that impersonators like Bashir Founder do not mention Human in lore so they do not count as human, even though we know through knowledge of the show that Bashir was a human.

Yeah - every single infiltrator doesn't say what species they're pretending to be, so none of them count as the 'disguise' species - except Thelev Impersonator.

Ok, for my first post in quite a long time, here goes...

Watching the spoilers for this latest set have, as usual, been fun...until now.

What I’m seeing is quite good. The OS Klingons seem very solid, and that’s coming from a player who’s not really a fan of Klingons playwise for the most part.

What I would have liked to see a lot earlier is the missions in their entirety. (I know we will by Thursday, but, please consider spoiling them much earlier in future sets, please)

But, (and I know I’m not supposed to start a sentence with but) as both a 26 year player of this game next month and now a 4 year+ gamer of MtG, I’ve got to ask

WTF is this *seemingly* pointless card New Civilizations? If you were going for an alternate win condition card, shouldn’t it have read/been written something like this...

“Seeds if each of your non-homeworld missions show 30 points or less. When you have completed three missions with point boxes, you win the game.”

?????????????

The way it’s worded as spoiled, who would ever use this? Players of OTF already have to complete a planet and a space mission by the rules and Open can do any two or more of any type. Why would anyone ever want to be troubled to do 4?!?! It boggles the mind.

There's already some discussion going on in the spoiler thread.
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=42594&start=15

It complete removes point requirements, meaning that negative points will have no effect. Recruit as many mercenaries as you want. Hit an Edo Probe in every mission. It doesn't matter. Throwing down multiple low point missions also makes it more difficult for opponent to decide where to concentrate their best dilemma combos. It's a reason to use Samaritan Snare and/or a single Patrol Neutral Zone - two missions with incredibly easy requirements. Can't think of any others off-hand, but I'm sure there are more.

This card has a ton of uses.

I actually think it's quite interesting.

Since you get to completely ignore anything points related, you can select weird missions like Samaritan Snare (bonus if you can get your Federation opponent to clear out the dilemma's for you).

I've tried to make a list of cards that are now different (not including the point earning cards):

Stuff that's now free for you:
- A Missing Day
- Only Logical
- Quinn
- Rebellious Servants
- Recruit Mercenaries
- Shipwright

Stuff you're now immune to:
- 62nd Rule of Acquisition
- 100,000 Tribbles
- A Real Game
- Balancing Act
- Edo Probe
- His Honor, The High Sheriff of Nottingham
- Mona Lisa
- Oof!
- Pla-Net
- Prisoner Escort
- The Line Must Be Drawn Here
- Torture
- Tricyante Poisoning

Stuff that bothers you less:
- Altonian Brain Teaser
- Assimilate This!
- Attack of the Drones
- Biosphere Toxin
- Contaminating a Culture (This should go under Samaritan Snare :-) )
- Damaged Reputation
- Discommendation
- Diguise Encroachment
- Feedback Surge
- Hazardous Duty
- Hero of the Empire
- Irrational Commander
- I Tried to Warn You
- Lack of Preparation
- Lemon-Aid
- Mandarin Bailiff
- Oh No!
- Punishment Zone
- Quandary
- Risky Business
- The Sheliak
- Vastly Outnumbered
- White Rabbit

Other synergy:
- Exposed Power Relay
- Face to Face
- One to One
- Royale Casino: Blackjack

Some stuff that will be harder for you:
- Dead End
- Head to Head
