Okay folks, your will has gotten us to a place where we have a card. I'd like to take a bit of a break, as next week is a holiday week in the US, to give you the chance to test out the card you've made. As Will of the Collective is all about community collaboration, and you've made all the decisions to get us here, it seems only fair to get your data and feedback on the card as well.

So far, we've decided to make Gagh and event that provides "rapid, situational" access to Klingon verbs. The game text we've picked is:
Seeds or plays on table. If playing only [Kli], you may play any [Evt], [Int], or [Obj] with "Klingon" or [Kli] in gametext from your Q's Tent as if from your hand.
You can download a PDF of this card here:

[DL] Gagh - Public Playtest File

What I'd like to see, and what I invite you all to do, is play with this card over the next week or so. Build a deck that uses the card, and see what you can do with it. Does it make anything easier than it would be without it? Does any make anything too easy? Is there a card you shouldn't be able to get with this Gagh? Or, maybe it doesn't do enough - you can get the stuff you need, even without it.

And you don't even have to play full games. You can just build decks with it, taking notes about what you do differently with Gagh than without. Or you can play partial games, or just set up game situations. Build a random Away Team for an opponent, then send your Klingon horde down to attack them with a tent full of interrupts you can put to good use.

Whatever you chose to do, take some notes, and post them here. Or record a video, upload it to YouTube or Dropbox, and link it here. Or record your thoughts and do the same. Whatever you can do to get the information from your deck building, game play, or experiments.

We'll continue working on the card, together, on Monday, November 30th. Until then, test, experiment, and play with your food. Let us know how it works - or doesn't.

So this is my [1E-TNG] [Kli] deck from two years ago. Currently I would swap out Expand the Empire for Gagh (and put Arbiter of Succession / Klingon Death Yell in the Tent). K’nera would normally be my Defend Homeworld download on turn 2. I’d have Gowron kill Korris (Premiere) for 20 points (Arbiter, Death Yell, K’nera) and 2 draws.

I don’t think this is broken, but it is certainly a more reliable way of achieving it, particularly if opponent is entirely in DQ/MQ etc.

Feel free to borrow the deck and try it out!

Don't forget to use a seeded Quite a Coincidence to make it 30 points.

So 1 seed card = 20 points for doing basically nothing?

That seem like a red flag to anyone else?

I'm assuming the Tent has to be open for Gagh to work.
Side decks that are not open are considered "not in play".

Somewhat. However, a lot of bonus points are sketchy. I'm noticing when someone gets a full win against me they have almost never solved 3+ missions. I don't know if this is the worst bonus point abuse. It certainly gives more encouragement to stock Khan!

Put it together, try it out!
I'm just thinking that was the complaint about pre-errata Kir'shara and this seems even easier for about the same number of points.

With Quite a Coincidence, you need to target a named personnel as they get played (so can't be a mission specialist). Instead Security Download new Korris, forego K'nera (might draw him) but use QaC & Arbiter & Death Yell for 25...

True enough, but I would point out that it generally requires TWO seed cards to make it go (at least reliably): Cetacean Institute and a time travel card (generally Temporal Conduit but there's other options as well).

So Two seed cards = 15 points.

Looking at your combo you only NEED one seed card (Gagh) for the same 15 points (Arbiter + Death Yell). Add in K'Nera and Defend Homeworld and it's two seeds for 20 points. Add in the fact that you can actually stack the Whales with this tech by putting CE in your Q's Tent and all of the sudden you only need a straight 65 from space + planet missions for a pretty easy 2 mission win.

Don't a lot of Klingon decks already do this? I'm sure I've seen seen Ye Olde Arbiter + Death Yell + QAC before.

By themselves, Arbiter + Death Yell = 15 points for zero seed slots. Just draw them at some point during the game.

Gagh Version A does make this more efficient, but costs another seed slot, plus several precious Tent slots.

I haven't tested yet, just theorycraft.

Having it seed might be too much; I mean, why have a [DL] on a card when you can just not use that card and just seed it instead? Having to get the cook to get the Gagh makes it a bit more worth the effort for some bonus points and might help to balance any power issues that people have. Klingons have to earn their victories in battle after all!
