Hello folks,

Will of the Collective VIII is back, and we're continuing down the path from concept to finished card. We originally decided to make Gagh and close that broken link, but after working on the card, changed course. Now, we're making "Not Gagh":
[Evt] Seeds or plays on table. If playing only [Kli], you may play any [Evt], [Int], or [Obj] with "Klingon" or [Kli] in gametext from your Q's Tent as if from your hand.
Last time, you were asked to choose the story concept for "Not Gagh" and this is the winning choice:
Klingons decloak, revealing they have access to more ships/resources than opponent realizes.
As this was a generic story beat, we needed more refinement. I tasked Paddy Tye (KazonPADD), our First Edition Creative Manager, to work with his team and come up with some more specific options for you. Today, we present to you twelve (12) options that meet (or nearly meet) your chosen brief, and you'll get to decide which one we use.
ST2: TWOK - 3 Klingon battle cruisers appear with no warning on entering the Neutral Zone to rescue Kobayashi Maru. NOTE: Cloaking not featured explicitly.
ST3: TSFS - Kruge’s Bird-of Prey hiding in orbit of Genesis ready to attack Enterprise.
ST4: TVH - Surprising the Whaling ship.
ST5: TFF - Bridge display notes Klingon vessel disappearing as it cloaks.
ST6: TUC - “Possibly beneath us” - the theory of another Cloaked ship is discussed
ST: Generations - Lursa and B’Etor’s Bird of Prey inflicts heavy damage as it cuts straight through the Enterprise shields. NOTE: This involves a surprise resource which isn’t cloaking.
ST:TNG - The Defector - Klingon surprise at the Nelvana Trap. NOTE: Already used on “Always A Chess Game”
ST:TNG - Redemption - Kurn’s ship decloaks to come to Gowron’s aid.
ST:DS9 - Way of the Warrior - Surprise as a large Klingon Fleet decloaks. NOTE: Already used on “Unscheduled Assistance”
ST:DS9 - Call to Arms - Martok to the rescue / who says there’s never a Klingon around when you need one.
ST:DS9 - Sacrifice of Angels - The Klingons join the battle.
ST:VOY - Prophecy - The Voq'leng decloaks and attacks.
ST:ENT - The Expanse - The Klingons use the thermobaric clouds to obscure their approach. NOTE: This involves a surprise resource which isn’t cloaking.
As you can see, some of these options have already been used. While that isn't idea, there are ways to make use of similar/nearly similar images and stories, so the options are included for your consideration. Similarly, some of these do not explicitly reference cloaking, but we feel they are in the spirt of the original brief (even though it says decloaking).

Ultimately, you get to decide what is and isn't acceptable. As we've done for every vote, we'll be using approval voting. This means you can vote for any number of the options; your vote means you approve of, and are okay proceeding with, the chosen option. The option with the most total votes wins and will be used moving forward. In the event of a tie, all tied options will move to a run-off vote to break the tie.

Voting remains open for two days, until approximately 1:30 PM Pacific on Friday, December 11th. You can change your votes at any time until the deadline, so after voting, please post in this thread to argue for your favorite choices. Or, you can attempt to persuade people to change their votes away from your least favorite choice. It's all up to you.

Once we've got a winner, we'll open submissions for titles and we'll have our talented Art team start looking for images. There's lots more to come, and it's up to you to decide how the finished product will look. After all, it's the Will of the Collective!

Not actually Klingons, but a Federation simulation.

ST4: TVH - Surprising the Whaling ship.
The H.M.S. Bounty was in [Fed] mode at the time, and there were no other Klingons involved.
ST: Generations - Lursa and B’Etor’s Bird of Prey inflicts heavy damage as it cuts straight through the Enterprise shields. NOTE: This involves a surprise resource which isn’t cloaking.
Feels like it should be saved for infiltrators, or battle enhancements.

I'm rather fond of the Voyage Home idea - show the Bird-of-Prey decloaking above the whaling ship - it'd be an epic shot and could fit right into Project Rogue (Movie Set 1). I don't really care that it's technically Kirk-and-company aboard it. It's still probably one of the most iconic visuals of the entire classic films era.
