Breen Energy-Dampening Weapon

is this card any good? I ask because the "discard at end of opponent's next turn" seems to make this worthless. If I attack and damage a ship and manage to disable their range and weapons, what good does that do me if it gets discarded at end of opponent's turn? only advantage i could see is if i bring in a second ship and attack them again, still during my turn, now they cannot return fire since their weapons are disabled.

and i suppose they cannot "run away" during their turn since range is disabled. maybe that gives me time to bring another ship there to finish them off?

I wonder what use people have gotten out of this. is it worth it for only a 20% hull reduction?

hmm... the damaged ship cannot strike back in the next turn (and you mentioned it, it cannot run away)

They also cannot do things like cloak, tow scows, use their holos, etc.

I think you are thinking of it in a limited way. Have you considered how you can set up a dilemma combo with this? I have no ideas in mind, btw, but disabling equipment and damaging shields may make them fail a check.
