Hi, it's time for a Friday Question!

The Final Frontier and The Ultimate User have been banned, possibly (but not certainly) dethroning [OS] and [1E-TNG] [Bor] after a long time at the top of the STCCG tier lists.

What are the popular decks going to be now?

(This is definitely a legitimate 1EFQ and definitely not an attempt to crowdsource my deckbuilding ideas for our local tourney next weekend.)

Troof. TOS didn't stop being really strong just because TFF got banned.

On the other hand... Battle Borgs.

Yeah. I like that now there's at least *some* risk to playing the super fast solver based at a time location.

[22] has that same risk with less upside than TOS. At least now there's more parity on that front.

Wait what??

K-7 is good but I'm too lazy to work out how to build it this week. Too many fiddly bits!

What?

K7 + Protect the Timeline + Call for Reinforcements = The Final Frontier more or less (hmm... maybe that's the problem...)

Run the same seedable [OS] booster cards and go solve missions. This isn't hard.

If you want a starting point, you can take this deck and update it for the 2022 game.

Fiddly bits... give me a break...
Though you could probably cut the Tribbles if you want one less fiddly bit...

I think all-property [1E-Rom] is gonna be good, and now Staging Ground, Cardassian Liberation Front and We All Serve decks are going to have room to breathe.

I think CLF is a bridge too far (and all-property [1E-Rom] has never not been good). We All Serve is legit and I totally agree on that point.

Maybe there's something really good with CLF that no one's found because TOS has been the business for the last 3 years. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Speaking of... I think this opens the door for [22] stuff to contend again. MACOs, Vulcan Wisdom, and [SF] / [Vul] Treaty all have play now.

*Bites lower lip REALLY HARD to stop self from launching into a big rant about the 2nd Power errata and how it killed the best Speed/Control option in the game...*

If you're playing K-7 without Arne Darvin, you've erred.

But the thing I really have to do is figure out is how to run my [OS] [1E-Rom] Neutral Zone / Engage Cloak deck with K-7, and that's going to take a bit of figuring out.
