Hi folks! It's technically still Friday on the West Coast of the US, so I'm not late with this week's Friday Question. It's a sequel of sorts to last week's poll where I asked which announced future projects you were excited to see. This week, I'm going to give you some potential future First Edition projects to consider. After reading through the summaries below, please vote for any and all of the ones that interest you. Some of these have been mentioned before, but nothing on this list has had any work done. So while there isn't much I can tell you, please feel free to ask questions and I'll get you all the answers I can.

So for today's question, which potential upcoming 1E expansions/projects are you most excited for? And is there anything in particular about them that you're excited about?

Now, I'm going to go panic because there was a bad ice storm here and everything was shut down today... so I still don't have my Christmas shopping done!

Potential Future Products
These are presented in no particular order.

Return to the Frontier (DS9 Sequel)
In a battle themed set, we'd explore the costs of war Dominion War. [1E-DS9] Klingons, the machinations of Section 31, and war-footing Federation would feature - including the crew of AR-558. Additionally, we'd explore the theme of faith, be it Prophet, Pah-wraith, Founder or Divine Treasury.

Crime and Punishment (Thieves, Criminals, etc.)
In a big and complicated galaxy, there are tons of folks that operate below - or outside of - the law. These are their stories. From the Lissepian Mother's Day heist to the Voyager imposters, explore the crimes and criminals of the galaxy.

The Mind's Eye (Holodeck Adventures II)
Return to the holodecks with even more characters and stories from across all 5 series. Explore the likes of Beowulf, Insurrection Alpha, and Moriarty - when the programs get too real. Or, look for love, adventure, or mystery with programs like Fair Haven, Flotter, and The Casino Heist.

Time and Change (Time Travel Expansion)
Find out what happens when we go back in time and meddle with the past - for example, saving Edith Keeler from "City on the Edge of Forever" or interfering with the Bell Riots. Then, find out what happens when the future goes off course with the Children of Time, the crew of E-squared, and more. Of course, sometimes you do both (Captain Braxton) as well.

World Enders (Major Threats Expansion)
The Borg. The Dominion. The Krenim. The Xindi. At one time or another, every one of these foes jeopardized our heroes, entire worlds, the entire galaxy, or time itself. Can you tame these fearsome forces?

Storytellers (Objectives Based on Episode Stories)
Recreate your favorite episodes with cards that help you build decks around those stories. Bring the Gatherers back home, or help Yuta get revenge. Bring the Romulans into the war, no matter the cost. Recruit a cult to follow you in the farthest regions of space. Tell the stories you love with the decks you create!

of everything on that list I have most looked forward to the largely untapped Prophet vs. Pah-wraith war that was a focal point of the DS9's ending.

for as major of a species as the Prophets were there are still only a small number of cards featuring them and no real mechanic.

That sounds like the premise of a Star Trek buddy cop show!

This temporal agent spends time jumping into bodies of others, solving their problems, his holographic buddy helps him, occasionally having to explain the times to him?

I didn't vote for Storytellers, but I'd like to register a vote for the Gatherers, specifically, just because it would please Lucas.

They could fit nicely into a Crimes set...

I missed the vote, but I really liked the Story Tellers idea, I even did a post about that a while ago.

Here's an example:

Title: Relics (Incident)

Rundown: Plays on Explore Dyson Sphere mission. Adds some new requirements. Allows you to download Montgomery Scott here if you have Transporter Skill present, he may work with your cards for rest of game. Blocks you from playing a facility here. Any ship attempting this mission may not leave this mission until it is solved. Provides some additional rewards (bonus points, card draws, etc.).

Honestly, these cards would be better spread out in various sets. And we do see similar things in current sets. I'd just like to see more. Basically, make it easier for us to play out our favorite Trek stories while increasing the difficulty and complexity, but offering a reward to compensate for it (bonus points, download equipment and personnel, seed cards you normally couldn't at a mission, card draws etc.)

Time and Change is also a great idea. But I think it would need the above mechanics to make it worthwhile. For this I think you'd need to focus on one episode from each franchise/movie:
Enterprise - Carpenter Street
TOS - City of the Edge of Forever
TOS Movies -Voyage Home
TNG -Times Arrow
DS9 - Past Tense
Voyager - Future's End
TNG Movies - First Contact

I see alot of [NA] [1E-AU] characters in this set along with [NA] versions of many of our favorite [Fed] characters.

Mind's Eye

A new holo-adventure based set? Long overdue. But please, less game text and more regular skills (and downloads) on the personnel. Also, more ways to get [Holo] cards into play, and it's time we see some [Holo] dilemmas (mundane requirements to get past unless your ship has a holodeck, then things get tough).

The DS9 set is always welcome. I think you guys could give the Pah-Wraith and Prophets their own set.

Can't help but play the muse here...

I'm still hoping we see a set or trilogy series of "Delphic Expanse" expansion sets where we see the Xindi affiliation along with elements from E-Squared and Twilight.

A Borg series would be cool too. Maybe start it on TNG Borg from episodes like "Best of Both Worlds" and "I, Borg". A mechanic system to seed a Borg ship dilemma which you would later use rescue (download) a [Neu] Locutus or rescue a [Bor] counterpart from a [Bor] ship and turn them into [Neu]. A [Bor] [1E-TNG] Scout Ship and a mechanic to play one on the Alpha space line is still missing.
Set 2 could focus on freed Borg (Alpha and Delta) and rescuing drones along with missing [Bor] elements from First Contact and Voyager.
Set 3 could focus on Uni-Matrix Zero, infiltrating the [Voy] Borg, and [22] [Bor] . New cards that focus on drone/counterpart/ship recovery could be given to the [Bor] .
