I've known the card from when it was spoiled by Decipher back in the days and I've always been sure it add a + 1 OR +2 to ship OR intrepid ship respectively.

Only today I realised there is no "OR" in that skill...

So could it be red like:
add a + 1 to ship OR +3 (1+2) intrepid ship?

I've always have a hard time with ( ), or and ORs...

I'd read it as the brackets indicating a replacement of the effect, there not being enough room for a proper OR.
