Space Coast Central Command League (Melbourne, FL)

I'm excited to announce that the Space Coast Central Command League is back for its third season! After two years running in Palm Bay, FL, we're moving home base across town to Tammy's Palace in Melbourne, FL, but looking forward to another great season of league events! Who will succeed season one champion (Sean O'Reilly) and season two champion (myself) to take the league title for year three?

General rules for all our league events:
* We run two events per month, but both events are usually on the same day: either a First Edition or Second Edition event, plus Tribbles.
* October and November's four events will be the first round of qualifying events. The top three point scorers after those four events will qualify for the league finals.
* December and January's four events comprise the second round. The top three point scorers from those four events (that are not already qualified) qualify for the finals.
* February and March's four events comprise the league finals. Anyone may play (even if not qualified), but only league points from qualifying players will count towards crowning the league champion.
* Entry into each event is free (though donations for prize support are welcome). All 1E & 2E events offer prizes to all players. Tribbles events offer prizes to the winner and one random additional player.
* There will be league foils this year! Though it's not yet known what they are or when they're coming, so stay tuned.
* After our final league events, there will be our traditional mass prize pool giveaway, in which every player who participated in the league will receive one prize pick for every event he or she played in, so play often for more prizes! (The league champion will receive first pick, after which the order of selection will be randomized.)

Hope to see you at our events! Happy gaming!

The first half of our league season will conclude Saturday, November 22nd, at 12 pm, with a First Edition constructed event, followed by Tribbles (league events #3 and #4).

Edition and format may change if the majority requests it. Venue is currently set for OKCoyote Residence in Palm Bay but that may change as well.

Hope to see you at our next league events!

5. Avery Matteson (10,031)

League Points after 4 Events (Top 3 qualify for playoffs)

Our third annual Space Coast Central Command league season enters the playoffs with a release event for the newest First Edition set, THE GAMMA QUADRANT (followed by Tribbles).

Six players have qualified for the playoffs and could win the championship in March: Rick Kinney, Daniel Matteson, Robert McGinty, Sean O'Reilly, Alex Taylor, and Tammy Vititoe. However, ALL players may play in these events.

Note that this is a BLOCK CONSTRUCTED event, not Complete, and thus only Block sets are legal (including the newest set, The Gamma Quadrant). I'll have a Gamma Quadrant prize kit on hand (if I receive it in time).

The following are the current Block legal sets. (Note that the 20th Anniversary Collection is NOT Block legal.)

ALL Homefront Sets
The Next Generation
The Next Generation: Supplemental
Engage
The Sky's the Limit
Emissary

The Space Coast Central Command League rolls on to its finish, and the third annual league season concludes with our championship events on Saturday, March 14th!

We begin with a Second Edition Standard event, giving Space Coast players one last chance to practice before Trek Masters: Orlando in April!

After the 2E event, the final league event of the season is a Tribbles shootout for players' last chance at league points and prizes!

Following both events, the league champion will be crowned, and all players will take part in our massive league prize giveaway! Players will receive one prize pick for each league event they attended this season. The league champion will receive first pick, and afterward, players' selection order will be randomized.

(A partial list of available prizes will be posted in about a week.)

Join us in Melbourne for our final league tournaments! You won't want to miss this epic event!

Our third annual Space Coast Central Command league season is over after the pair of events ran this past Saturday. We played Second Edition and Tribbles, and because it was Pi Day (3/14/15), we also celebrated with lots of pies - a mint Oreo pie (brought in by Tammy Vititoe), a cookies and cream pie (Rick Kinney), a blueberry pie (Allison Keagel), and even a Shepherd's Pie (also Allison)!

We had four players for 2E, which I won. After that we played Tribbles which drew eight players, and was won by Rick Kinney. After tallying up the league points, this year's League Championship was awarded to Sean O'Reilly! Sean was congratulated and awarded the first prize of the very awesome Legend of Zelda Monopoly game! After that, dozens of prizes were awarded to all the players for their event participation!

Thanks so much to everyone who attended this weekend and over the course of our league season, and thanks to Tammy for hosting! Our next event is, of course, Trek Masters: Orlando, in less than four weeks, from April 10-12! Our next events in Melbourne will be the Second Edition and Tribbles Regional Championships on April 25.
