Greetings all. So as this is our first time through the scoring process, and results have begun to accumulate, the question has been raised as to how the VP Tally should be calculated. Here are the options we've got:
Currently, only the player's declared HQ will score VPs when played in a Campaign Event. The player may use different HQs in other events, but no VPs will count in those events unless they use their declared HQ (a "loyalty" bonus).
A suggested change: players earn VPs for an HQ each time they use it in a Campaign Event, regardless of their declared HQ. Players would only earn rank for their HQ when they use it in an event, but he/she may play for other HQs to earn VPs for those affiliations. This would probably need some incentive to make it worthwhile, maybe a "mercenary" or "espionage" bonus if you play all available HQs in at least one Campaign event each.
This format is designed to be driven by player feedback, so your ideas on how we could improve the current VP structure are welcome! Are there other ways we could adjust the HQ Tally make it more fun for players to play in Excelsior events?
Thanks as always for your feedback!
