Hello,
I've recently start playing some games with the Voyager card set (previously just having played Premiere, and alt. u /q ), and I'm a little confused by The Power (https://www.trekcc.org/1e/index.php?mod ... ardID=2279) and Nanoprobe Resuscitation (https://www.trekcc.org/1e/index.php?mod ... ardID=1765),
The cards reads, "Plays once each turn to ...", and "Plays once every turn to ...".
I think we played them wrong, interpreting them more like Events that are put into play for free (seemed very broken, but comparable to The Traveller: Transcendence). However re-reading the rule book later; https://www.trekcc.org/op/1e_rulebook/#INTERRUPTS states "Interrupts normally have a short-lived effect, and they are automatically discarded after use (unless the card says otherwise)."
Anyone able to explain the correct ruling on how they are played and their rules are interpreted relative to the main book.
My best guess is that they do go away after the immediate interrupt effect, and if you want to replay them you need another copy of them or the re-cycle them from your discard pile. The once each/every is confusing me a bit, it make it sound like you can play that card each turn/every turn?
Does the "every turn" vs "each turn" difference between the cards have any difference in their play behaviour?
I also thought the choice of "Plays once" instead of "Play once" was interesting, and made me think it does stick about after being played making an exception to the rule on discarding interrupts.
Anyone able to rectify my over thinking on this?
