Theoretical question.

So, say I have personnel on an opponent's mission for whatever reason (Group 1). Later, they hit Maco Encounter. Assuming the Group 1 personnel are compatible and can mix, can Group 1 participate in the battle initiated with MACO Encounter, or is Group 1 considered bystanders until the next turn/they can combine?

If they're all compatible, the MACOs would be downloaded into the away team you already have on the planet, so they'd all join in on the fight

EDIT: You'd need to have a MACO leader there to initiate the battle, as per Dilemma.
