I am confused by the below rule- how does a personnel lose their status of a medkit gives them another regular skill?

"If a personnel loses mission specialist status due to a card such as a Medical Kit or Mot's Advice, that personel regains it if separated from the kit or if the card is nullified."

I am confused by the below rule- how does a personnel lose their status of a medkit gives them another regular skill?

"If a personnel loses mission specialist status due to a card such as a Medical Kit or Mot's Advice, that personel regains it if separated from the kit or if the card is nullified."

A mission specialist is defined as a person with exactly one regular skill. The above examples add skills. As such, the personnel involved no longer has exactly one regular skill and thus is no longer a mission specialist.

Mission Specialists have one Regular Skill.
While another card adds a skill, that personnel is no longer Mission Specialist.
After that effect ends (moved tricorder, destroyed tricorder...), that personnel returns to counting as Mission Specialist.
