Are we talking Abduction a la talon drone or reassimilateor un abducted assimilation via tubules?

Because I think it matters.

Glossary on Abduction:
abduction
Cards such as Assimilate Counterpart, the Talon Drone (Three of Nineteen), or Reassimilate Lost Drone may allow your Borg to abduct a personnel. If this occurs during personal combat, both combatants cease to participate in the battle and may immediately beam away (if possible), but are still "stopped." The abducted personnel is escorted by your Borg present and may be moved around like equipment. If the abducted personnel is ever unescorted, your opponent can rescue them with their own personnel present. Abducted personnel are disabled, and do not participate in battles. They are not captives and are not affected by cards that affect captives, such as Rescue Captives. An abducted personnel who becomes assimilated is no longer considered abducted.

when I assimilate personnel aboard an opponents' ship: Are they treated like equipment (= disabled) the moment after assimilation?

I have not found much on the topic.
once you assimilate a person, you take control of them. personnel you control on an opponent's ship are intruders and can be treated as such by your opponent.

Are you maybe misreading the Dilemma?
You assimilate one of his personnel present with the Dilemma!

You can also read the Dilemma resolution for that Dilemma here

Afer that, you treat that assimilated personnel, like Takket has told you.

When a personnel is assimilated that way, I have no personnel present.

How are they treated at that moment?
They're assimilated - that makes them yours. You can do anything you could normally do with your personnel.

Abduct and assimilate are two different mechanics (which is why Talon Drone says you do both):

Abduct: You "Borg capture" the personnel, and can beam them away if possible. (This doesn't assimilate them, just a snatch and grab)

Assimilate: Welcome to Team Borg, here's your t-shirt.

Talon does both (grab a guy, take 'em home, shotgun wedding). Servo only assimilates (so you don't get the free run away). Assimilate Counterpart splits them into two parts (you abduct, then you strap 'em to the table for the assimilate part.)
