Hi guys,

quick question ...

Under the new rules, there is no need to use any Ports/Pylons on a Nor, right?

I can do whatever I want to do at any site (including reporting) and if I want to move my personnel, I lower SHIELDS and beam them - right?

So why would I need Ports/Pylons anymore?

In case your opponent commandeers your Nor and to want to get it back/ Rescue your people/ etc.?

Also, the docking sites are all quite good! Docking Pads gives you Establish Landing Protocols for free, Pylons is required for Staging Ground, and Ports gives you free ships, which is quite rare in this game.

But it is correct that they are now can-haves, not must-haves.

Mind, if your opponent is getting on board without docking sites, then you probably aren't getting the Nor back anyway?

I dunno, it doesn't cost any deck that doesn't have a nor anything to include shops, cargo bay, and guest quarters to get onto any nor you share a quadrant with.

^ Also Docking Pylons. All non-Nor players should always stock Pylons, just in case, and even just to force opponent to defend their Nor a tad, even if you have no intention of taking it.

This is the normal and expected way an opponent will commandeer your Nor.
