What happens if Miles O'Brien (Blaze of Glory) Defense System Upgrade DURING a battle?

How I THINK this work:

1. My facility is already damaged (either rotation or two tactics), and my opponent attacks again. After the attack is declared, I use the . The two damage tactics are immediately discarded (or rotation damage removed), and the battle proceeds and, assuming they hit, the rotation/tactics damage comes back at the end of the battle.

2. But what about THIS... I'm already damaged, and they attack again. They hit again. If rotation damage, my facility goes to the discard pile. If tactics, they apply two more, and (let's assume my hull damage is now 100% destroying my facility). Can I NOW use the , after the tactic hits my facility but before I put it in my discard pile, to fully repair the facility? Seems like yes because until I literally place the facility and Miles in the discard pile, they are still in play and I can still suspend play with a .

Yup. Same thing with J-25 cube and Regenerate.

Suspends play timing is a hell of a drug.
