Just looking at inspiration what deck to build next and I stumbled across A new Earth - thing is, I guess I dont understand how to make the card work.

What you have is a (for example) [1E-DQ] Starfleet Outpost - but the Quadrant reporting rule still applies - and as there is no [1E-DQ] Starfleet people, noone could ever report (even for free).

So I guess is where Whisked Away comes in where ❖ people and ships must report as if they were [1E-DQ] .

But... to what end? Now I got some ❖ Starfleet people in the Delta Quadrant but still no unique characters.

Is there something I am missing? The card explicitly forbids using a [NA] Outpost (which is strange as Amelia Earheart WOULD be [NA] ) and [Fed] Outposts, so you´re probably limited to Cardassians (as there´s a CAR/KAZ treaty) or any Affiliation that has a treaty with FED - but then you would give up Home away from home as a reporting machine.

That's pretty much it. It's basically a novel way to get [Car] , [1E-Fer] and [Kli] personnel to the [1E-DQ]. Let your imagination run wild with what you would do next.

And no, you can't use it for any other affiliations because the outpost must still be built at the appropriate mission.

A New Earth gives you a free play, which is a speed boost, and Whisked Away provides a population of personnel do draw from across property lines.

I haven't dug too deep yet, but off the top of my head:

[Car] / [Kaz] Treaty
100% [1E-DQ] [Kli] (All-property)
[Car] / [Fed] Treaty (with Klaestron Outpost)

The only ones I haven't found a use case for are [1E-Fer] , but they're not my strong suit so it's entirely possible I'm missing something. (Maybe if there was a way to get Gegis into play early to set up [Holo] shenanigans that could be a thing (@MidnightLich)

Also, keep in mind that you're not limited to the Delta Quadrant. Add in a Barzan Wormhole and you can pair the [1E-DQ] free play with a Headquarters free play, and again, no property logo restrictions.

I'm not sure this is a tier one card, but it opens up possibilities and encourages outside the box thinking, which is a good thing, IMO.

I tried building a [1E-DQ] [1E-Fer] deck using the new cards and kept backing myself into corners. Not saying that it's not possible, but the juice probably isn't worth the squeeze.

Well, I used if for a [Kaz] [Car] deck in the tournament we just had, but my first deck I tried when I saw it was [Kli] Legitimate Leader of the Empire.

Leader lets you DL Gowron to your Outpost. It gives you a valid destination so Gowron not being [1E-DQ] doesn't matter.

Then Leader lets you report a non-treachery to him or your OP for free every turn, letting you ignore [1E-DQ] .

ANE/Whisked Away lets you free report a ❖ every turn, and you can card play ❖ personnel and ships.

I put that on hold because I need to find the right balance of ❖ personnel.

You can also easily do:
- [1E-DQ] Klingons
- Illegitimate Leader of the Empire
- Ferengi Military Operations
- straight cardassian
- multi quadrant.

While I deeply regret them limiting the card to just those affiliations (come on, it's AU. Let us really explore the options. I want my [1E-Rom] to have adventures in the DQ.), it's still the card that has made me most want to build decks around it in long time because of how open ended it is.
