I can only apologise to everyone involved again. I didn't feel good doing this, but fully expected the pitchforks to be out if we allowed Australia two Nationals events in the same year. I knew I was going to upset people whichever decision I made, and decided to enforce the rules rather than bend them.

For example, does the annual cycle start at the end of the World Championships or at the end of June or September or some other time on the calendar?
Nationals are meant to be once per calender year. For reasons I don't want to go into, a couple of years ago, January 31st became the "end" of the year.
So...
Nationals held between February 1st 2013 and January 31st 2014 are "2013 Nationals events", and
Nationals held between February 1st 2014 and January 31st 2015 are "2014 Nationals events", and
Nationals held between February 1st 2015 and January 31st 2016 are "2015 Nationals events", etc.
I'd rather have December 31st as the end of the year for Nationals , but that boat has now sailed. We're stuck with the system we have.

No. There were no Australian Nationals held in 2012. The event you describe is the 2013 Nationals. I know that because it happened in the middle of 2013.
We're not going to start allowing old Nationals events to be held now just because somebody spotted theirs wasn't held in a particular year. That would be madness.
Unjustly Banned.
