Alrighty, I have been playing Diablo IV almost since release.

I always played only ONE character, I started that char directly in Eternal Realm, so I never did any season.

After the update, a short time ago, the entire item system has changed completely.

Your thoughts on that?

Also, I never read any 'build guides'. I 'designed' my current and only build completely by myself, based on the items I found.
It's a Necromancer who fires three blood waves and who produces a lot of blood orbs. Each blood orb reduces the cooldown for blood wave by a certain amount of time, so I can fire that thing quite quick again.
It currently makes some 250 K damage.
Right now, I wear still all my Legacy items.

However, even at Level 100, some enemies are beyond my capablities, like the Beast In The Ice.

So it is not a perfect build.
Will all the fancy new stuff, I plan to make another build, this time based on Bone skills.

Your type of builds?
Self-made or from a guide?

Shoot your thoughts, fellow Diablo players and playeresses ...

It is dead Jim.

Played a bit early on around all the bugs and some season stuff, but the builds were patched to unplayability by skilltree, itemchanges, items not transferred after season end...
Then other patches changed all the items and some expansion was announced.

I played at launch for a little, then a tiny bit for the first few seasons, then went hard during the season where they changed itemization completely. The last one was the only one I really enjoyed because it was a lot easier to sort through the items to find what I wanted and the necro summon build where I just had to focus on dodging and everything died around me was a lot of fun.

I generally prefer to use build guides because I don't have the brain for making my own build (also why I'm bad at deckbuilding STCCG).

I don't plan on playing the expansion though. I'm just not that excited. Wake me when we get Paladin.

Interesting.

I have to add that I only play an hour here or 30 minutes there, hence that only one char on Level 100 over … two years or so?

I also bought the expansion with NO idea what it will bring.
Kinda like back in the days.

D4 for me is a bit like trading card games … I go in there, do some farming, sort my items and if there is some cool new toy in the bag, I am happy and think about what I can do with it later.

Since the update, I had to read a lot of stuff and read about the new events in the game. Haven‘t looked any of it up online.

Making my own build was kind of a love child …
Like deckbuilding in STCCG.

Since my own build is not contained in any guide, it was completely untouched by all the changes since release.

Hello there fellow gamers :shifty:
when starting a new game i like to go naturally with the flow and have fun with builds (some of them very questionable looking back) and once ive familiarised myself with how things work i look at build guides because im a mong lol
Im just getting back to the game and having fun experimenting with new builds and strategies that were less effective before. Sometimes i feel like a complete noob but thankfully my livelihood doesnt doesnt depend on my performance

Having a great time. Have played a single character each season so far, pushed the last to 100. This time I wanted to try something out of my wheelhouse, so I found a simple guide and am trying an Avalanche Druid. Good times. Mid sixties now, finally bothered to unlock Torment, and am enjoying the high-end challenges.

Still grinding. This season I have a high level barb who can solo most of the bosses, used a guide for a lot of it, but have played a bit with the paragons and whatnot
