I wouldn't hold your breath. When you're second in command of your own religion, I think you have more the enough lawyers in your ranks to stop a pesky unauthorized biography from hitting the shelves.
Well, you're wrong, my friend. I borrowed it from my library. I wish I could show you a digital picture to prove it!

And it says right on it "Not for sale in the UK or Ireland".

So THAT'S why you didn't know it existed, you being in the UK!

Andrew Morton, he's got people to handle the lawyers. That means he had to put "UNAUTHORIZED" right across the front of it!

When I'm done with it, I'll PM you and let you know what I thought. OK?

Another thing I should mention about Tom Cruise's bio:

Scientology is nothing but a dangerous cult!

I can't even count how many celebrities follow it!

It's really quite sad, I think!

Also, Wil Wheaton himself cautioned people who want to get into show business: avoid the agencies who send you L. Ron Hubbard material, as it's their attempt to add new recruits into Scientology!

And Tom married Mimi Rogers, who was up to her eyeballs in the cult's ideologies!

(But what a great big rack she has, though! Heh!)

Anyway, that's basically what Andrew Morton is saying: Tom isn't all he's cracked up to be, because of the whole Scientology thing!

Don't just believe everything, question authority!

Its entirely possible that that's purely a licensing issue (i.e one publisher is licensed to produce the book in North America, another for Ireland & the UK).

A couple of my uni books have 'Not for sale in Canada or the US' on side, despite being written by Americans.

Not quite. A firebrand is "a person who stirs up trouble or kindles a revolt."

Okay. Look forward to it. :)
