In the news reports here in the UK they claimed he was best known for Fantasy Island. I was surprised as I'd never heard of it, whereas his performance in Wrath of Khan is legendary.

I'd agree that he might nowadays be best known for his role in TWOK, since TWOK is often listed among the top sci-fi films ever produced, and he has been immortalized as Trek's most potent villain.
