I love the end of He-Man episodes where he saves Man-At-Arms daughter (shame for forgetting her name) and she's like "oh, thank you He-Man! How can I ever repay you?" (Wink-Wink). He's like "just doing my job." And rides off on a giant cat.

He-Man doesn't get the credit he deserves for being the first gay action hero.

Teela

Apparently, she’s actually the Sorceress’ daughter and was adopted by Man-at-Arms.

And here I thought all this time that Man-at-Arms and the Sorceress hooked up at some point...

BTW, the mindblower for me when I first heard it: It was apparently hinted at in one story and has been confirmed later, before Skeletor... um... lost face... he was known as Keldor, the brother of King Randor. Therefore, Skeletor is actually the uncle of both He-Man and She-Ra.

Skeletor's beef has to be family related.

Seconded!

Have you thought of The Clone Wars? Or the funnier Red Vs. Blue?

The LEGO set is pricey, but worth it. Plus one for the five of you to put together.

He-Man and She-Ra just told me to tell my priest, minister or rabbi if someone was touching me in a bad way. :o

That's really bizarre when viewed through the light of the present day TV.

Yeah that would have been in the peak “Satanic Ritual Sexual Abuse in Daycare Centers” era right?

Thread necro!

If you haven’t watched the Netflix reboot of She-Ra, I recommend it. It is a kids show, but it has enough depth that I was entertained. The theme song is a definite [emoji107] though.

Spoilers: they avoid the whole issue of the secret identity by Adora being out as She-Ra from the beginning.

The new one has done a good job of making all of the characters distinct, instead of just being different versions of the same base art in different colored clothes. Not only that, but the personalities are a lot more distinct as well.

The best part of the new show is everyone knows that Adora is She-Ra. There’s none of the secret identity stuff that makes the original She-Ra and He-Man laughable. The stories are good for kids and adults. There’s a great thread throughout the series of the harm that you do by treating people badly will come back to bite you.

I also like how all of the kids all have realistic bodies. They even let Glimmer be a fat girl, and she’s not hung up about it! My inner fat girl approves of this state of affairs.
