WTF?!

Oh man. The Comics industry lost a legend. I'll miss those funny cameos.

He filmed at least one more (Avengers 4) and possibly ones for Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Devastated by this. I got to meet him twice and I could barely meet his eyes when we took our photo. The second time, I got his autograph instead of taking a picture with Carrie Fisher. I showed him a picture of me with my daughter dressed as Cap that we took with Chris Evans and Haley Atwell. He saw it, smiled and said "Chris Evans was a great guy."

Yes, a great guy indeed. I never got to meet the fantastic, incredible, mighty, uncanny, and amazing Mr. Stanley Lieber, but, his work from the mid-70s and 80s shaped my formative years and for that he will be missed. His cameos in the Marvel films have been a hoot and I certainly hope we have the aforementioned three to look forward to, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War part deux (whatever the eff it's actual title is), and Spider-Man: Far From Home next year.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Lee.

EXCELSIOR!!!

R.I.P. one of the truly great people of our age. A man who could inspire, make you laugh and make you think, all with a few words or a cheeky cameo (even extending to a Star Trek fan film! 8) ) The Marvel Movies and geekdom as a whole just won't be the same without him.

With sympathy,

Mattgomery Scott.
