...because a certificate expired.

Long story short, they know about the problem and they are working to fix it so extensions will work again. Long story long: https://www.engadget.com/2019/05/03/fir ... d-on-cert/

Man, this took a turn.

I have a distant friend/acquaintance who used to be high up on the Mozilla security team, so I checked up on his blog to see what he might be saying about this incident.

Turns out he died last month.

He'd been fighting cancer (for a lonnnnnnng time), and was resigned to it being terminal when it spread last year -- but I honestly had convinced myself he was going to pull through once again. He was only 41. Three kids under age 10.

Crap. Fuck cancer.

Gerv was a Christian, so prayers would be welcome from those so inclined.

Did LightVine stop working (Netflix)? That works again, for me (but / and I didn't even reboot my browser).
Still, this doesn't work for me, and I don't know why. Could it be related? Usually, FFox works for me in every regard. I did try to append the URL with http(s), but no joy.

My Chrome Android seems to have less truble, in the mean time.

But -- not so important, I've seen the venue now, and can't attend anyway.
