Hi guys,

quick question.

After person was left a note, because they weren't at home, and a package goes to the next post office - how long does a post office in the U.S. keep the package before sending it back?

Is it possible that they keep it for only 2 days? o.O

Going from this page it looks like the minimum space between "first attempt" and "send it back" is five days, and they'd get a second notice on day 3.

It's normally about a week, but with recent postal issues the USPS may be doing things differently. There's also the possibility that they didn't provide a notice - we had a package get sent back to Lore once because USPS didn't give us either of the notices so we had no idea a package was waiting.

Delivery times are messed up, that's for certain.
