This time next week, I'll be in Indy, and one of my favorite events each year is the Tribbles World Championship. This year, Tribbles Worlds takes place on Sunday afternoon and will be two rounds. We'll divide up all the players into some number of approximately equal tables, and they'll play a round. Players will then be reseated, with all the winners/wild cards together, to vie for the title in a second round of play.
As of right now, there are twenty-four (24) Tribbles players pre-registered, including a previous World Champion and two (2) previous North American Continental Champions. Our pre-registered players include three of the top 10 Tribble breeders in the world, and have bred a total of 483,642,529 - that's almost half a billion Tribbles!
For fun, I've attached a poll to see which deck archtypes will have the best chance of winning this year's event. Will it be a Bonus deck? A lightning-fast Discard deck? A top-heavy Battle deck? Or something else? Sound off and let us know! What else do you think will be played? Is there a clear favorite player in this event? Those of you planning on attending, what will you be thinking about as you prepare?
I'm eager to read your thoughts and opinions. Start sharing!
