As we head into Worlds week, I figured it was time to set up a main thread in which to post regular updates, and also for other players to coordinate as needed.

Don't forget you can also follow @TrekCC on Twitter for updates there, and can join the conversation using #TrekWorlds.

Today was my first day of vacation, so I've been hard at work cutting and sleeving decks as well as gathering my prize support.

If you've seen the 1E and 2E prize lists, great! I've actually added a couple of things, including a couple of late prize donations. I think you'll be pleased with what we have to offer.

I'm considering filming some of the feature matches during 1E and 2E Worlds. I've got the equipment - sort of - and we'll see if I can figure out how to use it.

More as I think of it!

EDIT: One more thing - players participating in 2E side events on Wednesday and Thursday, if you ask me nicely, I may have 2E spoiler goodness available.

Well, I will add some more information regarding 2E prize support for the tournaments I am running. Basically, each of my side events will have the same prize format, almost.

Each player will receive from the available prize pool:
1 sealed 2E booster pack (note: if you select Premier, you get 2 booster packs).
1 foil.
1 pin/button.
1 larger prize - anything from a key chain to a deck box or a pack of sleeves, to a Star Trek Yo-Yo or an 8x10 photo of one of your favorite Star Trek actors. Basically, lots of Star Trek stuff.

For my 2E side event tournaments on the 4th, 5th and 6th, the winner will get a $25 Campus Cards & Games gift card (which as I understand it, can be used for anything in the store, even drinks).

There will be one large ticket item for the WCT tournament on the 4th. John Kinney has donated a Walt Disney World Park Hopper pass, which will be given to a random player that can use it. The pass does expire on December 15th this year, so it will need to be used prior to that date, and there is only one pass - good for one admission.

For the 2E Day 1 prize support, John has also donated a pair of Walt Disney World Water Park passes. These expire on December 30th this year, and do have some black-out date restrictions. They are also good for Disney Minnie-Golf.

Another bonus for the 2E Day 1 participants will be a raffle for five big-ticket prizes. The distribution will be a little unusual, but I've given it a lot of thought, and this is how I would like to share the items. First, here is a list of what will be available for players:

1 box of (5) Star Trek Universe 3-ring Binders. This is an extraordinary collection of Star Trek information, much like you would find in an encyclopedia. They are in beautiful full color and are an amazing collection of Star Trek awesomeness.

1 pair of Walt Disney World Park Hopper passes. These expire June 10, 2018 so they don't need to be used quite as soon as the other WDW passes. These were again donated by John Kinney from the personal allotment he is given by Walt Disney World.

1 TOS Bluetooth Communicator. This is a fully functioning phone interface. It looks and sounds like the ones used on the Original Series. It works through your own Smartphone, so you need one of those for this to work.

1 United Cutlery Limited Edition Volkoth Simikar display weapon. This weapon is designed by Kit Rae along with Gil Libben, the official Klingon Armorer designer. This is a complete kit including the mounting board.

1 Air Hogs Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A remote control drone with lights and sound. Fly the U.S.S. Enterprise as you pilot this remote control star ship.

Okay, so we have five raffle prizes to give away. Here's how we will do that:

A random 2E Day 1 player from from outside the continental United States will get first choice of the above prizes.

Second choice will go randomly to anyone outside the State of Florida.

Third and fourth choices will for anyone participating in 2E Day 1.

If the large box of Star Trek Universe binders is still available after the first four choices have been made, we will have a special raffle from any Day 1 player that would like to win this prize. As it is large and heavy, transportation of the prize should be a consideration when making this selection.

This post has gone on far too long, so I'll stop now. If anyone would like any further details on any of this information, please feel free to ask and I'll try to get you an answer.

Rick

Also there will be a SECRET prize for the BEST PLAYER of the ENTIRE weekend. This means the more side events you play in and the better you do in any event the better chance you have of winning it.

The winner will be decide based on a scoring system.

Nope. TBD by Ken I think. I have to recuse myself from any selection process since I'm playing in it.

The final process will be announced at the event expected it to include player nominations and Uninvested (not in the running) CC people and events organizers to also cast votes or have a discution or the like.
