Hi guys,

TNG Borg have only two ships.
They usually start with the J-25 Cube, because of the Regenerate download.

If shit hits the fan, there is usually a seeded copy of Federation Flagship: Recovered.

Has anyone ever build a deck specific around getting a TNG Cube out of the game?

Any ideas how to get rid of them, except for 'a lot of WEAPONS'?

Aren't they super vulnerable to any dilemmas that get placed on their 1 ship? How about Shades of Grey: Brutality in play, and at a space mission you seed
(1) A Q: A Dazzling flash or Q: Into the Supernova when you have a Q side deck without many cards with Fightin'Words in it, or alternatively Preoccupied
(2) Pawns of the Military, to download Tsiolkovsky Infection and Macrovirus and then (3) Maglock.

Good luck coming up with the 6 Medical to cure the infection or the skills to get the Macrovirus off your ship when you only have 1 skill on any personnel (and no classifications!) They can't even use Gowron of Borg to start a battle because he doesn't have the skill allowing him to initiate battle anymore! Works on others, but best with [1E-TNG] Borg because they have no classifcations and because they can't just use a different ship.

Eleven of Fourteen has MEDICAL as a second listed skill (doubled)
Five of Fourteen has your second listed Exobiology (doubled)
One of Fourteen and Six of Fourteen have second listed SCIENCE (doubled)

So to clear this mess I need 3x 11s, 1x 5, and either 1x 1 or 6.
If you don't run Preoccupied, I need 6x 11s, 2x 5s, and 2x 1 and/or 6, but I keep all my other skills.

Yeah, only thought of preoccupied after already thinking of doing this with Fightin' Words. Clearly that is not a good way to go. Also I forgot that while removing a first listed skill is great against [1E-TNG] [Bor] because that is the skill shared via Distribution Node, but that if they just discard the node, they can all gain any skill. (In this case, probably MEDICAL, since that is all they need to overcome the infection and get their first listed skill back).

The issue is that nearly all of the "place on ship" dilemmas can be overcome with skills, which Borg just gain or share. Cytherians doesn't work if they can Transwarp across the spaceline. How about Emergent Life-form? Unless they already completed Salvage Starship, they don't have a Holodeck.

How do you hit the J-25 cube if it has Ablative Armor on it? Anyone playing TNG Borg in Minnesota runs AA, for obvious reasons.

Space Amoeba can make a massive difference. Then if you could get WEAPONS>15 there, play Outgunned and commandeer their cube! Neither Regenerate or Federation Flagship: Recovered would help them then!

-Is there a way to lock it down with Music-related dilemmas? I think they're short on that and...Greed, probably?

I have no idea how Borg work, though, so unsure if that matters.

I worked up a NA deck (and a Rommie/NA version) that flushed ships out ASAP to wreck dilemmas. It could probably drop a Borg Cube on turn 4 at the latest, turn 5 if it had AA on it.

Problem is Borg are usually done assimilating everything by then.

The game absolutely has quality anti-ship cards usable against any faction, but the new CC 'Modern' rules neuter their usefulness against the Borg (even if they took them off the Ban list). Thus, the options are going to be limited/requiring some way to buy time that prevents the Borg from doing their thing by end of Turn 3.
