Hello everyone,

Given how active and big the community here, I was wondering why I couldn't find a list of No Rares decks for newer player willing to learn the ropes.
1/2 decks for each faction would be something really valuable and would offer an easy way to have new player experience the different factions uniqueness and learn the game meanwhile, without having to spend much cash.

Most of the communities in the "Dead CCG" space have at least a few of them.
Unluckily, as mentioned elsewhere, it's a good while I am out of the game, as a player, but would be nice to try and get someone new aboard.

I hope I just missed these information or that someone with more experience can help out draft a few.

Thank you

Also, all cards are freely printable, so price isn't so much a factor any more.

The virtual starter decks for the affiliations can be found here:

Thank you! Will save that. Still I am more into 1E, reason I posted the request in the dedicated Forum ;)
Also there's a list of Virtual starter above in this very forum, but they are all Virtual starter and I was looking for some starter achievable with "real" cards :)

Yeah I know that, but having the original cards, and maybe it's just me, it's another thing entirely, unless you make them printed professionally (and I think that's against the rules? Maybe not for personal use only).

Your best bet is with the Fed and Klingon starters from the 2-player game. They have been posted on this forum before. Someone also made a similar Romulan one using real 1E cards. You’ll have to search for it.

Thank you.

Wish there was something that make use of more recent cards and also some decks for Ferengi, Bajoran, Dominion, Cardassian and Borg.

Since (1) we can print off all the cards now, and (2) enough important cards are virtual that you have to print off some of them, the idea of a "no rares" deck isn't quite as important in this community as it is in others. When you can print off 20 copies of the rarest ultra-rare ever made and stick 'em in your deck like any other card, rarity just stops being very relevant in deck construction.

Here's a list of 1E beginner-friendly decks, though:

And Maggie Geppert has been doing some interesting stuff in her series "I'm an old/new First Edition player", the archives of which can be found here:

First of all thanks for the links provided, I will get a deep look at those.

I do understand that the cards are now free to print and Virtual cards are really relevant, but yet While I do really like the virtual sets, I can't help but use normal cards, since I don't really like the look and feel of normal printed cards. It might just be me. The only way for me to make them playable is to have them professionally printed, but I do understand this is something not endorsed by the CC and borderline legal. Hence my request to build some starter decks to distribute with the original cards only.

Anyway, I got the point and given how the game changed with the virtual sets, it may be something not really feasible for ST. I might end up putting something together just for the sake of it, but I know I won't get a full experience.

Again, Thanks everyone for your help and feedbacks!
