Does anyone have any idea how one might seed the Assimilator, or download it on the first turn?

I don't think you can currently seed it or download it first turn.

You can play a Q's Tent doorway for free on your first turn to grab the Assimilator from your Q's Tent side deck and then play it for free at Varria III using Followers of the One.

The other option to download on your second turn it after commandeering Empok Nor on your first turn with a Non-Aligned crew.

This only works if your opponent went first and has a ship in play...
1. Seed Assign Mission Specialists (both personnel you download must have )
2. Play Going to the Top on your opponent’s turn to download Captain Kirk or James T. Kirk to those personnel.
3. Use Kirk’s ability to download a Captain’s Order card (Condition Red)
4. At the start of your turn, download any ship.

This only works if your opponent went first and has a ship in play...

there is anotherway if you dont want to risk the GTTT
Seed shermans peak, DL kirk with hero, then you can even do the DL in the seed phase (in case they seed a ship) (or you can wait until after they DL/play a ship on any turn then trigger the kirk)
